Andrea Paquette, APRN, PNP-BC, AHN-BC, PMHS-BC
I use an integrative approach to treatment for women, adolescents and children. This involves combining natural treatments with conventional methods to rebalance the body systems and brain chemistry. Non-medication treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification techniques, psychological counseling, relaxation and mindfulness training, parenting support, nutritional counseling and dietary supplementation.
Clients who benefit from an integrative approach to care may feel that traditional medical approaches have not alleviated the problem or the symptoms are being treated but not the underlying cause. They may feel exhausted, stressed, overwhelmed or bored. Overall energy, motivation or enjoyment of life may be decreased.
Conditions that respond well to integrative healthcare include:
ADHD/ADD, adjustment disorders, anxiety, binge eating, chronic stress, compulsive overeating, depression, food refusal/phobia, grief issues, OCD, PTSD, self esteem issues, obesity, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, insomnia, IBS, polycystic ovary syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, post-partum depression, menopausal symptoms and chronic fatigue syndrome.
With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field, I have found that healing takes place within a trusting, collaborative relationship. I provide a comfortable environment in which clients feel welcome and respected. Together, we will develop an individualized treatment plan to support you on your journey to vibrant physical and emotional health, happiness and fulfillment in life.
