Anxiety and phobic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, depression, grieving and loss, communication techniques, stress reduction, meditation and visualization, teenage pressures, geriatric aging issues, caregiver concerns, children (age 4 and up) with emotional concerns (using play therapy/sand therapy strongly emphasized), bipolar disorder management techniques, major mental illness, social skills training, personality disorder coping abilities, stages of change, adjustment disorders, life difficulties, short-term therapy or long range planning, marriage and relational problems, empathic communication techniques for couples using different love languages, “prevent your divorce” communication techniques and problem solving, and chronic pain issues.

Experiences include but are not limited to: State hospital, private hospitals, non-profit hospitals, mental health centers (VT, MA, NH), Veterans hospital, residential facilities, partial hospitals, day treatment programs, inpatient clinics, and private practice. Kelly utilizes many modes of psychotherapy with adults including client-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and exposure therapy/behavior modification. She is dedicated to creating a setting in which adults are comfortable and treated with warmth and supportive encouragement. Children and teens are vulnerable to pressures and relational concerns. Alternative forms of therapy are used for children including play or sand therapy. Art can be helpful in expression of feelings and can be a pleasant way of talking about uncomfortable feelings or problems.
